I really enjoyed this podcast because I lived in fear of my dad's discipline and when my mom died when I was 13 my mom asked me to promise her to stay with my dad who did not want to since I was a teenager. I stayed with him and we were emotionally distant and I married someone in my early 20's and had 3 boys. I never thought the ramifications of my divorce from their dad and found out a year after my divorce was complete I did not have the emotional tools to raise them and gave them back to their dad. I stayed in touch with them but they suffered emotionally and so did I. Looking back I wish I had been stronger to raise them. Thank you for your helpful Podcasts.
